Why we hesitate in Condoms use?

A day ago one sms came to me, it says: "Only xx people dies because of swine flue, still everyone is wearing mask, But millions of peoples have died because od AIDS, still everyone is not wearing condoms".

Well that was a funny SMS, but think carefully about it, was it only a joke? Why we hesitate in Condoms use? I never thought I'd be asking this question. But I have been compelled to after a particularly appalling incident and several more narrated by my gal pals.

So here's what happened:

I walked myself to the "most popular" chemist in my area to buy a pack of condoms! And yes it was the first time I had ventured to do the same… Considerate that I am, I thought I'd let my partner off the hook and take responsibility this time around. Considered one of the most advanced and biggest medical shops in the area, I was hoping to getting it easily and flit out in a breeze. Boy, was I wrong!

Condom please!

After I managed to catch the attention of a female shop assistant and asked her for my partner's choice of brand [I was getting the male condom!], the fiasco began.

Apparently flabbergasted by what I wanted to buy, she asked me to repeat my request. I nonchalantly did the same - only to be told to wait. She scurried off to a corner and whispered something in the ear of a fellow shop assistant and both the girls giggled and glared at me!

Pretending to be busy, the twosome then sent another assistant to ask me what I wanted. This one deserved the Oscar for playing the "I'm-hard-of-hearing-nitwit-shop-assistant" and asked me to repeat my request for the third time.

Enraged by the petty arrogance of these excuses-for-chemists, I repeated loudly the brand for the last and final time (or so I thought!). All the shop assistants - and there were around 7 of them - froze. I was "exhibit A" and all eyes were on me, including those of the other patrons. The young boy who had come for cough medicine blushed, the aunty cursed me under her breath and an uncouth looking man gave me a dirty smile.

The news that I was there for the "rubber" spread like wild fire!

I was finally handed very reluctantly the pack by the male shop assistant who was waiting for an explanation or an excuse. They weren't going to get any.

The fact that I was getting it for my husband was none of their business. And this very regressive attitude is what has stopped many others like me from doing the right thing - protecting ourselves.

Pharmacy: Humiliation hot-spot

In a recent survey, one out of 10 men said they have had unprotected sex because they were too embarrassed to buy condoms from a pharmacy. What's more, the results confirmed that the high street pharmacy was a 'humiliation hot-spot' for people.

So if the men were toe-curlingly embarrassed by the same, women obviously couldn't be left behind! What's worse was that almost 50 per cent of the population had suffered a health problem like thrush in silence rather than facing the embarrassment of seeking medical attention according to the online pharmacy mastersdirect.com.

Most simply walked out of a pharmacies because they were too embarrassed to ask for a particular health product, revealed the survey.

"The men will get it"

Most women depend on their male partners and trust them blindly to protect them against any sexually transmitted disease. A friend of mine got her partner to get a year's supply of condoms just so that he doesn't make excuses and she is not forced to go to a chemist.

While there are a handful few who do take the initiative like 30-year-old Priyasha Seth who always carries a pack and makes a point to buy it herself, even she has had to contend with embarrassing situations at the chemist.

It's all in the mind!

Most male friends of mine don't have any qualms walking up to a chemist and picking a condom. In fact, one of them "feels proud doing it, and especially likes discussing the different flavours, sizes, types at the chemist.... it freaks the shop assistants out completely".

29 year old Ad executive says, "All you need to do is head to a supermarket and dunk a pack or two with your groceries. Who's to know?!"

Make condoms accessible

Sociologist Nandini Sardesai says, "NGOs and the government have done enough. It's the attitude of the people that needs to change."

"There is a need to introduce new and novel ways of making condoms more accessible. For eg: Thailand's 'Condom King', Mechai Viravaidya - so-called due to his extensive work promoting accessible contraceptives - introduced the concept of giving condoms out instead of candy when you pay your bills."

All said and done, wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry? So, don't let chemists make you regret doing the right thing.

Harley Davidson to zip on Indian roads by 2010

THE world’s oldest and the most popular motorcycle brand Harley Davidson will hit the Indian roads finally after dilly-dallying for over two years. The iconic American brand will be available from early 2010 and although it is yet to announce price tags, the vehicles are expected to be priced in the band of Rs 7-15 lakh.
The US-based Harley Davidson was granted permission to start operations in 2007, but the company had been lobbying with the government to cut down on the 110% import duties on bikes, which effectively doubled the cost of these motorcycles for Indian consumers. While the duties remain unchanged, Harley has gone ahead to tap the Indian market on its own.

Harley Davidson Motor Company president and COO Matt Levatich told ET: “The high tax burden is a disadvantage to our products, but we are looking at the vast opportunity in the world’s second-largest two wheeler market. Gradually, we expect the niche bike segment to grow with infrastructure improvement and a buoyant economy.” .  India’s seven-million strong motorcycle market does not have a big share of super bikes or highpowered bikes that Harley Davidson makes, but the US firm is banking on the growing popularity of such products. Bike makers who are present in the segment include Suzuki with its Hayabusa and Intruder models, besides other companies such as Yamaha, Ducati and Honda. These firms together sell over 400 units a year in the domestic market.
Harley has not set any targets but is looking to sell in excess of 100 bikes next year. It will bring 15-20 bikes to India from its product line-up of over 200  models and start with the flagship cruiser Fatboy and Night Rod  Special models.

First Rape and the capital Punishment: Is this Humanity?

All girls declared to be given capital punishment and who are vergin, are brutally being raped before their execution in Prison of Iran. Iran's Baisli Milishiya, does such sort of inhuman conduct with vrigin woman prisonors. And do you know why girls are raped? They are raped because its their reliegion's rule that vergin girls can not be executed in capital punishment. This scandle was exposed by a gard of Milishiya prison.

He informed a daily newspaper editor that, when he was 18 years old, he was getting married with virgin gilr who was sentensed capital punishment in prison. And then he was asked to have sex or rape her. According to islamic rule of Iran, Virgin girls can not be executed in capital punishment. So a day ago that girls is forcefully, got married to some one and then forced to have sex with him, and on second day she has been executed.

Guard also informed that this marriage is legal. He added that, the thought of rape before her execution of capital punishment itself, make the mental condition of victim very bad. Forcible sex that she had to do with someone is worst then capital punishment. Guard told that, he remembers an incident with such virgin girl, when he raped that girl before the day she was to be executed, he became so angry with himselft that he started cursing himself and punished his body.
In no holy book of any religion, this can be legal. I am hindu, but accordign to one of my old friend, islam gives so much respects to women. There can never be such legal rule about the execution of virgin gilr, which allows some psycho people to rape a girl. I am asking to user about their views for this inhuminitarian act.

How to sleep well? - 10 Tips

Sleep only at night. Avoid daytime sleep if possible. Daytime naps steal hours from nighttime slumber. Limit daytime sleep to 20-minute, power naps.

Stick to a schedule. Erratic bedtimes do not allow for your body to align to the proper circadian rhythms. Mum was right when she set a time we always had to go to sleep as kids. Also, make sure you try to keep the same schedule on weekends too, otherwise the next morning, you’d wake later and feel overly tired.

Exercise. It’s actually known to help you sleep better. Your body uses the sleep period to recover its muscles and joints that have been exercised. Twenty to thirty minutes of exercise every day can help you sleep, but be sure to exercise in the morning or afternoon. Exercise stimulates the body and aerobic activity before bedtime may make falling asleep more difficult.

Taking a hot shower or bath before bed helps bring on sleep because they can relax tense muscles.

Avoid eating just before bed. Avoid eat large meals or spicy foods before bedtime. Give yourself at least 2 hours from when you eat to when you sleep. This allows for digestion to happen (or at least start) well before you go to sleep so your body can rest well during the night, rather than churning away your food.

Avoid caffeine. It keeps you awake and that’s now what you want for a good nights sleep. We all know that.

Read a fiction book. It takes you to a whole new world if you really get into it. And then take some time to ponder over the book as you fall asleep. I find as I read more and more, regardless of the book, I get more tired at night and so find it easier to fall asleep. Different for others?

Have the room slightly cooler. I prefer this to a hot room. I prefer to turn off the heat and allow the coolness to circulate in and out of the windows. If I get cold, I wear warmer clothes. It also saves on the bills as you’re not going to require the heat all night long.

Sleep in silence. I find sleeping with no music or TV on more easy and restful. I guess others are different, but sleep with no distractions is best for a clearer mind.

Avoid alcohol before bedtime. It’s a depressant; although it may make it easier to fall asleep, it causes you to wake up during the night. As alcohol is digested your body goes into withdrawal from the alcohol, causing nighttime awakenings and often nightmares for some people.

Jaswansing wasn't all wrong about Jinha

The ghost of India Pakistan seperation is still bubbling. This still is a unfortunate incident for indians. Saying that jinha was a contry lover, doesn't mean that we are praising jinha. But Jaswantsing is only trying to know what really had happen at seperation of india and pakistan. And only this is been tried to describe in his book of 'Jinha - India, Partition and independence'.
Juswantsing is treated as Criminal in courte of peoples, but to know the truth and live with it is the duty of every indian. Jaswantsinh only tried to show that jinha had tried a lot for the brotherhood of Hindus and Muslims. Jinha was a very generous, republican and India nationalized person and also the cause for the birth of Pakistan. Jaswantsing has opposed about a fact that in 1947, Jinha was treated as villan, and because of this he is saked from BJP (Bharatiya Janta Party).

Jaswantsing's book is prohibited in gujarat.India's (i.e Hinudtan's - as it was known before seperation) seperation is very unfortunate, comples and confusing incident.Maulana Abdul Kalam Aazad, who was a freedom fighter, accused Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar vallabhbhai patel responsible for seperation. This insident is very painful for indian peoples. He wrote in page no 201 of the 1988 edition if his book 'India Wins Freedom', that he is amazed that Patel was favouring two seperate contries like india and pakistan. He was amphasizing more on two seperate contries, Jinha just initiated this topic, but Patel created issue of this (Note: Personlay I feel that its crap, Patel is the person who had worked so hard to make united India out of scattered group of states, he does not deserve such defeme).
Incidents described in Book by Jaswantsing isnt wrong at all. Jinha was indeed a real freedom fighter, he Firmly believes that britishers should left india, and along with that he also fights for indian muslims. Its was the mismanagement of Cabinet Mission Plan, which plaugh the seeds of seperation. According to Aazad, patel was creating pressure on Nehru to change the cabinet mission plan, but that was discarded. On march 31st 1947 Aazad asked Mahatma Ghandhi to intervent, and told him that very dangerous creationg for seperation is created.
Ghandhiji asked that only on him dead body, the great hindustan will be divided in two parts. Ghandhiji's consoletion to Aazad was like relief, but unfortunate even of seperate took place, which became black spot on indian history. Lacks of peoples have lost their life, in thsoe riots.

Swat Valley from Pakistan: Anciant times One of the Biggest Buddhism center

We know history about the 2 thousand Kilometers long sindhu river. Currently pakistan army is fighting with talibans in swat valley. But many people will get amazed by knowing the fact that from AD 300 before to AD 800, around 1100 years, swat valley was overruled by Buddhism or we can say it was influanced by buddhism. Many buddhist peoples lives near ghazni in afghnistan around AD 0994. When father of Muhommad Ghazani, Sabuktigin Bamiyan became governor in AD 0994, there were many collonies of Buddhist at that place. When in 1021, Muhammad Ghazani enters to swat valley, that was very bad time for buddhism, and he saw buddh temples in very bad condition. The main reason for that was, in india all kings were supporting hinduism under the trumendis influence of Shankracharya. Every one knows that just before some time violant talibanis distroy boddh idols carved into Bamiyan Hills.

Swat valley is very beautiful region. It is consider as switzerland of Pakistan. Swat's capital is Migora, and it is fulled with Islamic Madresas ( teching institutes). This madresas teaches Kuran, and its very conservative. They thought that watching television and hearing radio is bad for Madresa's students and pakistani muslims. Its sin to hear anytype of music. Some of the Muslims from swat valley, supports taliban governmet. They dont like pakistan government to have good relation with US government.

Swat valley is situated on route famous as silk route between south asia and chine. This silk route is very long, hindus coundt reach there, but buddhist did. Gautam Budhha died around 5th century, and though buddha's birth place was Nepal, but after buddha took Nirwan (Miksha), Buddh monks reache to swat and founded huge center for buddhism. India's Famouns Teching institute named 'Takshashila' was also founded in very near by place to swat. Currently takshashila place is in Pakistan.

Interesting XLS files

Check some really interesting XLS files.

Enjoyy.............. :)

Business is business

One day many years ago at a school in South London a teacher said to the class of 5-year-olds, "I'll give $20 to the child who can tell me who was the most famous man who ever lived."

An Irish boy put his hand up and said, "It was St. Patrick." The teacher said, "Sorry Alan, that's not correct."

Then a Scottish boy put his hand up and said, "It was St. Andrew." The teacher replied, "I'm sorry, Hamish, that's not right either.

Finally, a Gujarati boy raised his hand and said, "It was Jesus Christ." The teacher said, "That's absolutely right, Jayant, come up here and I'll give you the $20."

As the teacher was giving Jayant his money, she said, "You know Jayant, since you are Gujarati, I was very surprised you said Jesus Christ."

Jayant replied, "Yes, in my heart I knew it was Lord Krishna, but business is business!".

Challenger Dip

Here starts the golden era of Naval Research: Nereus

Which is the deepest place of See? I bet, you dont know that. We all know about the highest place on earth, but our General knowleged goes to zero. The deepest are of ocean world is 'Mariyana French', and the deepest place in this deep area is known as 'Challenger Dip'.  The name itselft carry an interesting story.

Swiden scientist named James Pecard, has changed a fish hunting boat into a naval laboratory and given name 'HMS challenger'.  Using this challenger he finds the deepest place in see, and on name of challenger this place is known as challenger dip. After finding the deepest place in ocean,  James pecard also saw dream of reaching there, and he also fulfils the dream. On 23rd january 1960, James pecard and american navy's Don Walse, went to challenger dip in a specially designed submarine by pecard, and since that none has ever managed to reached into such deep.

Once again after so long, a special robotic vehicle designed by nereus group of scientist has reached to challenger dip. Team who developed nereus believes that nereus will start second golden period in the history of naval research.

Nereus is developed by woods Hall osenographic institution. Experts believe that USA have made a robotic vehicle which can touch the bottom part of sea, other contries of the world will start a new race in naval research. Nereus is the name of Sea god's son. Whose half body is of fish and remainig half is of human. Susan humfris says that though today robotic vehicle has touched sea bottom, within upcomming 5 years human included robotic vehicle will be able to go to deep in sea. Using the contemporary technology we can reach upto 60% deep of sea, but using nereus we can reach to the bottom of almost every ocean.

On 31st may, 2007 nereus creates a world record by reaching 10,902 meter deep into the see connected using fible optic cabel with ship named Mono. This distance is 2 kilometers more that the distance between sea level to mount averest.

Mariyana trense in pecific ocean, is a part of 'pecific ring of fire'. It includes world most active volcanos. In the bottom of sea, many on such volcanos became active time by time, which creates tsunami and earthquake. Apart from naval geology, earthquake and tsunami can be studid in deep using nereus. We can study the chemistry of materials available at such deep in sea. Naval world's products can be used for medical purposes.

With the initial experiments of nereus, university of hawai has gathered such an extra ordinary samples that have never been found. That includes strange fluid samples at bottom level of sea and naval live creature world's samples.

Proud to be Indian........

NOT A STORY BUT A TRUE INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED IN AMERICA.

An Indian man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer.

He tells the loan officer that he is going to India on business

for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.

The bank officer tells him that the bank  will need some form of security for the loan,

so the Indian man hands over the keys  and documents of new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank.

He produces the title and everything checks out.

The loan officer agrees to accept  the car as collateral for the loan.
The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the Indian for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan.

An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the Indian returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to  $15.41.

The loan officer says,
"Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled.

While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire.

What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow '$5,000' ? "

The Indian replies:
"Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return'"
Ah, the mind of the Indian... ....... This is why India is shining.

At the end of Century Europion contries will be Muslim nations

Note: I have no feelling wahtsoever against Islam, please dont see this post as anti islam post.

At the end of century Europe will be Group of Muslim Contries, this thing may seem as dream today, but the way muslim populations is growing, indicates that it will be fact in future. Years before Muslims came to europe due to different reasons, like business, Violance of other muslim community, for piece, etc. It creates problem if in any contry populations from other contry increases.

In one of the documenty from americal historian Burnard Lewis told that, One day Europe will be colored in Islam color, till the end of this century Islamism will be having majority over Europe. There are many reason why muslims are growing in europe.  Like muslims form other contries are goingt o eurpoe, Scholars from contries like pakistan and bangladesh moves to europe because of the violance in their own contry. At then end those scholars are helpful to europe, but they will be counted while muslim population will be counted. And they feel its their duty to bring other muslims to eupore once they get settled in europe. Other important reason is that muslims have got more fertility rate then original europians, so they can produce more childrens. There is no such rule of max 2 children in europe. The muslims in eurpoe are very rich and they are highly educated. Though their count at present is less, but at times when they need to show united power, they have opposed government policies on open. They have forwarded their oppose message to other contries in open.

Contriversies about 'Burkha' and 'Dupattas' are very common in europe, there are many times cases in europian courts, and at such time Muslim community seems more organized. World got shoked when they saw around 10 lacks muslim's anti-war rally when america attacked Irak. 802 peoples got killed on 11th march,2004 in bomb explosin by Muslim terrorists, A movie director who made movie about the violance help on muslim women by muslim community was killed by a dutch muslim, Terroris attacks in peris and france hasnt been forgotten till date.

Above activities shows that terrorism is hidden in europe itself, and peoplse who help those are also in europe. And it is believed that along with population increase such activities will be increase.

Though in europian contries today muslims are not in command, but as their population will grow they will ask for their special rights. Its not that europian government is not doing anything for that, but they are helpless as muslim stays with permenant residency status. And along with increase in such population, europian contries have to follow islamic laws.

Note: I have nothing against islamism, but yes terrorism should not be tolared in any religion, let it be muslims or hindus or christians. Plesae comment on post if you think my thinking is wrong.
